Kulturālā sestdiena | Posh Saturday

Man patīk stikls.

I like glass. A charming material that makes almost anything look stylish and chic. Because of this I yesterday [cough..  title  ..cough] I went to take a look at exhibition “Glasstress Riga – Works from Berengo Studio.  Riga Stock Exchange [Rīgas Birža] is the newest addition to art museum family in Riga. Although the museum there is new, building itself has been in the very heart of Riga for quite some time now [Oh, marble ekstavaganza in there!  I encourige you to go and take a peek yourself.].

Lai šajā skaistajā foajē pagozētos, biļete jāpērk nav. | To visit this beautiful lobby you do not have to buy a ticket.

Defekts effektā?? | Turning deffect to effect??

Mana teorija "stikls visu padara skaistāku" tā teikt "in action". | Do you see what I mean with "glass makes everything posh"?

Mortīcijas spogulis?? | Does the theme song of"Adadms Family" play in your head as well or is is just me?

There are 4 flores of of assorted goods. Main exposition includes paintings and art from easterns and western world. To see all of that you will have to go youself.  But here you have few pictures of pretty pocelain and some random things.

Ja jūs mani zināt, kaut mazliet, tad būsiet ievērojuši, kādas rotaslietas man patīk – robustas, vīriešu, bez cakām, bez spīguļiem, nu, tādas, ka pie zemes velk. [Pieļauju, ka saderināšanās gredzenu ar briljantu, es nevilktu kaut man precēt atteiktos. Bet droši, droši dāviniet, ja vēlaties!! Saka, ka briljantiem esot laba pārdošanas vērtība.]  Kulturālās sestdienas ietvaros apmeklētais rudens tirdziņš mani padarīja par vienu “punching ring” bagātāku.

Ok, now lets move to art of other kind. I like jewlery a lot. And if you know me even a little bit [and by writing this I have Lykke Li stuck in my head for the rest of the day], you know that I prefere heavy, robust, manly, no frills, no sparkles kind of accesories. [There is quite a big chance that I would not ever wear a dimond engagement ring. But be free to give it to me anytime!! I hear that dimonds have a good resale value.] A part of my posh saturday was buying a nice punching ring in local autumn market.

Šī un citu skaistumu autors – rotkalis, kas slēpjas zem mantijas un pseidonīma Mūks Tontons [tā kā vizītkartes tika dalītas, un kāds no ieinteresētajiem pie gribētā rotājuma iespējams netikta, tad es padalīšos kontaktos: toontoons[at]inbox.lv Pieļauju iespēju, ka, laipni palūdzot, varat tikt arī pie speciāli jums gatavota aksesuāra.]

Author of this gorgouse piece ir guy that has adopted a monk appearance and has a pseudonym Mūks Tontons. Since I am way too excited about his beautiful jewlery I will share the contact info. Just in case if want to get in touch with him  – toontoons[at]inbox.lv . I do belive that you could get something custom made as well.

Tā kā esam uz smaga metāla nots, tad klausos: | Since we ended on a heavy metal note.. listening to: Sweet Amber by Metallica
